DYLAN WRIGHT - WINNER of AUSTRALIAN IDOL 2024,
MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GOOD FRIEND, FEATURED MUSICIAN and NOISY BRAIN COMMUNITY MEMBER DYLAN.
Australia has chosen @dylanwrightmusic , musician, community member and friend of The Noisy Brain to be this year’s @australianidol
Hailing from Sydney’s southern beaches, Dylan’s voice and music captures a certain vulnerability and beauty that goes hand in hand with his laid-back nature. Dylan possesses the maturity of an industry veteran with the fearlessness of an emerging artist. Through unique articulation and clever songwriting, Dylan expresses genuine emotion, leaving audiences instantly immersed with his mellow and awe-inspiring performances.
Kind words from Dylan Wright about The Noisy Brain and the original submitted writing - Kintsugi:
"I'm really excited about this project you have created.
Music is such an incredible tool.
I don’t know where I would be without it.
Such a great idea of a project.
I’ve always loved the idea of Kintsugi.
It was a really powerful poem, hopefully I did it justice, obviously I did use a bit of creative license and put some words in of my own." - Dylan Wright
'LOOKING FOR' (Kintsugi DEMO)
This song is very much a work in progress version of -
Both musician @dylanwrightmusic & contributing writer @stuartboydmills wanted to share it with The Noisy Brain community in its current most basic raw form.
The Noisy Brain has been created to help encourage people with mental and emotional health issues to write and openly share their experiences.
We celebrate and embrace these
‘Noisy Brain’s’ encouraging them into musical collaborations with an aim to create beautiful pieces of music and art.
Backstory?:
“I wrote this self reflecting rant, which was inspired by Kintsugi. The Japanese art of Kintsugi teaches that broken objects (usually ceramics) are not something to hide, but to display with pride. This sentiment is also applied to human stories of overcoming trauma making people more valuable when healing themselves; repair requires transformation.”. - Stu

Huillo is a young Musician + Autism Activist from Mexico 🇲🇽
Much thanks to Huillo and his team; @luchovu . @foneticatv and all involved with community member @kim_is_joy ’s collaborative song - ‘PURPOSE’ that is currently in production, being created alongside The Noisy Brain 🧠.
Huillo was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at 4 years old.
Not long after, his parents noticed that he loved listening to music and especially his favourite group Coldplay, which is why his father took him to watch their concert. The video of Huillo at the concert made a big impact with fans online as well as with Coldplay, who thanked the family by saying “it’s worth it for things like this.”
Huillo watches his favourite band - Coldplay
The band and the family kept in contact over the following years. During that time Huillo began music classes as a form of therapy and to help him engage with other people. It soon became apparent to his parents that the young boy had quite a talent for writing songs.
Back in 2021 Huillo released his debut single “Different is OK”,
This eventually led to him appearing at Foro Sol in Mexico, playing his very own song, live on stage in a packed stadium (who loudly chanted his name) with Coldplay.

Huillo’s official video for “Different is OK” also gained attention, with the clip being viewed 72,000 times on his YouTube channel.

This from Huillo's parents Luis and Sandra...
"Hola Amigos!
We are Luis and Sandra and we are the parents of an incredible 13 years old hero named Huillo who is on the ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).
Since Huillo was 4 years old, he had been diagnosed in several ways within the spectrum and last time the doctors told us that he is defined as HFA (High-Functioning Autism). Me and Sandra don't really know what it means, we are not experts… we are parents. In our opinion, our job is to make sure that our children's needs are being provided.
I, Sandra and Huillo had rough periods every time we faced the education system here in Mexico. We found ourselves dealing with educated people who get terrified with words like – "Autism", "Autistic" or "Special needs". Each and every one of them almost left me and Sandra very confused, deep down inside and we knew that their ways of estimating Huillo's situation are wrong.
Over the years we have always been supporting him through some special therapies that worked for the short term, without any significant and expected progress. Once we found Huillo's desire, we noticed that every step in the progress becomes bigger than the other one.
Huillo loves music and Coldplay is his favorite band – for Huillo, music is the most important therapy, it has so much power. With every step that we take, we can actually see how it affects him – becoming more social, speaking and communicating much better with others around him. In the end of the day the love, the acceptance and the music keep Huillo happy and this is what I and Sandra wish for.
We invite you to take part in this trip, open your mind and together try to do some magic by changing people minds, make society and education system integrate them having more acceptance and inclusion for these special boys and girls.
For us, everything started that day at the Coldplay's concert.
Feel from your heart!" - Luis and Sandra

Singer-songwriter and artist, Rae Lou (short for Rachael Louise) grew up in Manchester UK but has spent a large part of her life in Asia, living in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Studying Performing Arts at Salford Uni helped equip her with the skills and confidence to pursue music, but it wasn’t until Hong Kong where Rae Lou really found her voice, singing regularly on the circuit with local musicians.
After gaining years of experience performing live, Rae has now turned her attention to songwriting and expressing herself through her own music, something that she has always longed to do.
Now, Rae Lou invites us into her own musical world with a clear vision and through her artistic lens. She sees her songs in colour and word paints on a musical canvas, creating “art for the ears".
Her first release, ‘Suffocate’, mixes darker colours and themes in a bold and brooding song. ‘Suffocate’ is a daring first song to release. Its lyrics come, not just from the heart but from a place of sensitivity and compassion about a topic everyone can relate to in their own way: Mental health.
It is the soundtrack song for the upcoming UK feature film, ‘Watching Goldfish suffocate’ and was directly inspired by the film’s themes and title.
“The film title and image itself, of a goldfish suffocating, was just so evocative that it inspired a whole storyline for a song and I really wanted to paint a musical picture. The lyrics delve into the relationship with self and I clearly imagined a character having a conversation in the mirror when I wrote the chorus. It’s very much a call to action, imploring “don’t just watch me suffocate...”, pleading yourself to help yourself when you’re stuck in a dark place.”
“I’m very proud about this song. I’ve had faith in it since I first wrote it, so I hope that listeners can connect with the lyrics on some level and that it might deepen the discussion on mental health. It’s like my dear friend and vocal coach, Lorraine Harris-Roche put so well, “Let’s face it, nobody suffers beautifully”, but music holds the beautiful power of connecting us more with our emotions, so I like to think that’s what this song can do.”
Rae Lou likens songwriting to wrapping up a present, “when you write a song, it’s as if you’re gifting your listeners with a musical parcel. They unwrap it and hear it, but they bring all of their own experiences and meaning to the song, which turns it into a really beautiful and precious present.”
Kind words about The Noisy Brain
"When I found out about the Noisy Brain, I was really pleased and full of hope to learn that such a much-needed platform exists.
We all struggle with our own noisy brain to some degree, but it seems these days, we aren’t so noisy in talking out loud about our mental health and getting the help we might need. Mental health awareness needs a voice and what better way to find that voice through music and songwriting!
Music holds the beautiful power of connecting us more with our emotions, which can have such a positive effect on our mental health and wellbeing. I think the Noisy Brain is doing a fantastic job of joining these two powerful things together, to bring about real goodness and hope in the world." - Rae Lou

It can help relieve anxiety and stress, calms breathing, improves mood and helps people with their overall well-being. When collaborating on The Noisy Brain project you have the opportunity to uplift our contributors through your songs. Look through our bank of writings and read through background stories by our contributors. Refer to the lyrics for your own song making process, as many as you need. We only ask that you credit us and share your finished songs.
Upload your songs for the community to share likes and comments. Every month we create a playlist of songs to be uploaded online via The Noisy Brain. Who knows who might hear your song next? We also work directly with selected artists to help finalise and finish popular songs on the platform at the recording studio for free. Finally, we organise gigs and invite selected musicians to perform. They will perform their Noisy Brain songs amongst their own hits.
For the benefit of our contributors, we want to get their lyrics made into finished songs. Where possible, please include the original sentiment of the writing during your musical endeavours. To help enable this, finished songs should aim to have at least a few lines of the original writings. This helps prove that someone who’s never been involved with music could help write a song. When creating in this way, you show empathy to the originator and will inspire others to use their own writings in a creative and fulfilling way.
WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO GET INVOLVED
The Noisy Brain are reaching out to all collaborative musicians who care to create music from the writings of others, and all those artists who believe in the importance of erasing the stigma of mental & emotional health issues.
The Noisy Brain encourage those who struggle to write about their experiences, then with the talent of collaborative artists all around the world we turn those words that harm us if they stay inside our heads, into songs to inspire others to share their stories.
It is a responsible and honest source of stories, lyrics and real experiences. At one point or another, every songwriter or musician has experienced a mental block - faltering moments of being unable to create and write. Elsewhere, there are others with creative surges, tapping richly into their wellsprings of hope, pain, joy and experience writing beautifully meaningful, original and heartfelt poetry or writings. The Noisy Brain brings together all parties in rewarding collaborations.
Music makers gain FREE access to a growing library of potential lyrics submitted by those dealing with their issues. Musicians will benefit from gigs and song earnings, access mental wellness content, and be supported and uplifted by The Noisy Brain community.

About Billy
Best described as a modern-day music-maker, Billy has been steadily gaining steam in the music industry as an artist and music producer.
‘‘There's nothing I’m more passionate about than the transformation of an idea into a song.”
Similar to many musicians out there, his love for music started at a very young age growing up on records by the likes of Tina Turner, The Jackson 5, Simon and Garfunkel and The Carpenters to name a few. His rebellious teenage years were expressed by listening to 80s rock and metal bands and eventually discovered jazz and blues during college.
While attending Berklee College of Music, he developed a keen interest in music production and engineering. It became his mission to play guitar on as many student projects as possible to learn and study the process. It is with great fortune that these students became mentors, pushing him to become a better recording guitarist, as well as teaching him all about the studio gear and maintenance.
Following graduation, Billy left Boston, MA and moved to Nashville, TN with a plan to take the city by storm with his band mate with whom they formed The Hypnopompics. He continued honing his craft as a music producer and performer by writing, recording demos and playing gigs with the band. After releasing two original songs, the band, unfortunately, split up leading up to Billy’s move to London in January 2014.
Between 2014 and 2019, Billy has been an active member of London’s music industry taking on roles of a solo artist, session musician and music producer. He has collaborated with a variety of artists, performing shows in and around the London area, as well as providing music production services such as mixing and mastering. Performance venues include The Dorchester Hotel, Borderline, The Troubadour and NEC Birmingham Arena. Not long after moving to London in 2014, Billy made his debut appearance as a solo artists with his self-produced single release titled “Way Back Home”. Since the release of that track, it has been featured in a summer fashion segment on ITV’s This Morning and on BBC Introducing London.
In October 2018, Billy released a long-awaited EP titled, “Choices We Make”. Produced at The Crypt Studios and his own personal home studio, the four-track EP perpetuates the organic instrumental rawness of “Way Back Home" with soothing emotional vocals and elegant production capturing the emotions and experiences I’ve had with music.
Billy’s sole aim it to create music that connects with audiences and stimulate emotions through soulful storytelling and production. He continues to produce original music and help other musicians bring their musical visions to life as a producer and mix engineer.
A few thoughts about The Noisy Brain project:
“It can get quite overwhelming living in a world that is ever-changing; especially now that we are experiencing a pandemic, and it’s not always the case that we feel understood. It’s nice to see a community that is focused on providing a safe-haven for people to discuss, find support and creatively express whatever it is you are going through - because its most often the case that you are not alone.”
"I'm very excited to share with you "Small Boat" in a stripped-back rendition performed live. This song was written in collaboration with writer, Nick Kira with whom I connected thanks to @thenoisybrain - a community aimed to help destigmatise mental health discussion through creativity and music."

Tamara Jenna is a multi-talented singer/songwriter/rapper/producer and guitarist from Balsall Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Tamara's musical journey started at the age of two when she would experiment on her Great Grandmother's piano and make beats on the pots and pans whilst singing along to 90s R&B. At age nine Tamara got her first guitar and began learning full-length songs before the age of ten. These included R.E.M's Everybody Hurts, Tracy Chapman's Baby Can I Hold You?, and Every Breath You take by Sting. She later got 'Everybody Hurts' tattooed on the back of her neck as a tribute to her early stages as a guitarist.
Tamara has a unique mixed style, implementing contemporary R&B/Hip-Hop/Grime. Her debut album 'Pleasure From Pain contains credit to top class producers such as Manchester's ATilly and Amsterdam's FreekVanWorkum: Grammy Nomintated,5x Multi-Platinum Producer who has worked with the likes of Kehlani, 2 Chainz and Wstrn. Her track Mary J ft CGH impressed Abbey Road Engineers and Sam Inglis (Editor of SOS Magazine) and was selected to be critiqued at Abbey Road’s 90th Anniversary Festival.
Through her debut album Tamara addresses issues such as mental health, love and loss as well as more pop style collaborations. Mental health has always been something Tamara has openly spoken about. This is specifically shown through her debut track ‘Little Me’ where she discusses her anxiety and depression from early childhood.
A few words on The Noisy Brain
Teaming up with The Noisy Brain is something I was eager to do. It felt as though there were no platforms to turn to in times of struggle or uncertainty but the rise in grassroot mental health awareness over the last few years has meant that there has been an increase in solidarity for people like us.. and we’re not actually as rare and weird as we may think!

The Noisy Brain are proud to be introducing you all to Massachusetts Emcee - JFliz.
JFliz has been a consistant supporter of The Noisy Brain project right from the begining.
JFliz has been writing, recording music and performing on stage since the age of 8. Remaining incredibly creative, original and versatile - you can hear him flow to smooth jazz inspired beats, hard hitting boom bap to rock n roll sampled bangers.
JFliz dropped his debut album in 2012 and consistently released content until 2018. With the birth of his first son, he stepped away from music to focus on family. In March of 2020 he began to craft his return project, [Grown](https://open.spotify.com/album/3h7XOvheDFmmmZVtulnTQA?si=Uz3INnruQjKKt_vAX59fcA). Released in November of 2020, it was considered his breakthrough album. Completely constructed by Fliz himself from the beats, rhymes and production, it was acclaimed by DJs, Podcasts and Blogs such as UGHH Blog & Insomniac Magazine. Since then, we’ve seen him release 3 singles in 2021 and been told there is A LOT of music coming this year. It appears Fliz intends to make up for lost time and has also teamed up with some formidable artists to accompany his return to the scene.
Devil At The Pulpit - Release Date 5/4/21
The album has NOTHING to do with religion. The concept/message within the name is people are often fighting with inner demons and living with “bad/negative thoughts, depression, self-loathing” and often looking for salvation and change.
"As everyone now knows after Grown, I personally struggle with all these things. The vibe of some songs have a darker vibe but on flip side has lighter, more inspirational songs like the lead single entitled “Better Way” which is on the positive side of things." - JFliz
JFliz, The Noisy Brain team thank you for your continued support and wish you huge success with everything infront of you.

Monopoly Loser is a singer and songwriter based in Belgium with Eastern European roots. His real name is Erik and he creates music around lyrics that are inspired by his experience and true events. The artist started creating music after a burnout at work and has been feeling his best ever since.
Monopoly Loser's current preferred genre is melancholic pop.
Monopoly Loser promised himself that he will be more productive in 2021 and he's decided to release a new song every month. He has already released 'Leave no Trace' and 'While you’re Away' already, released his piano ballad SCITD
And in collaboration with Maks Divine and The Noisy Brain recently released the fantastic song - 'NOTHING' - inspired from a contribution written by - NickK.
"I started therapy when I had burnout and completely lost sleep. I was going crazy unable to sleep, think, exist. Working with my therapist I uncovered that I miss things that made me really happy, especially when I was in school. Those things are music, writing stories, journaling. So I started doing that and felt better almost instantly. of course, there is always a danger zone in one's mental health and the cure is a combination of multiple things, but The Noisy Brain proposes something that would play a huge role in one's wellbeing. I love that the NB gives an opportunity to become creative to people that, maybe, never thought they would be creative in such an area." - Monopoly Loser
